The style icon Sonam Kapoor can’t wait to dazzle at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival. At the opening ceremony of the 66th edition of the festival, starting May 15, the actress will sashay down the red carpet flashing dramatic make-up by L’Oreal. Sonam Kapoor unveiled the L’Or Sunset Collection and the Bollywood-inspired looks for Cannes Film Festival at an event held in Mumbai on Monday, May 6. The actress has six looks to choose from for the festival, which includes bold, dramatic eyes in colours like royal blue and red lips. Though this is Sonam’s third visit to Cannes, it is her maiden chance to arrive on the red carpet at the opening gala of Festival de Cannes, and she is delighted. Not only she will be present at the opening ceremony, she will also walk the red carpet on May 16. Talking about her approach towards make-up, she said: “I love Kajal and eye liner. I feel that dramatic eyes look amazing.” At Cannes also, she will rule out simplicity and instead rock in glitzy make-up, staying true to Bollywood flavour. While launching the new range of make-up for Cannes, L’Oreal announced: Glitz, Glamour, Bollywood -- a celebration by Cannes. The fashion-forward Sonam Kapoor even plans to make a style statement in an Indian outfit at the red carpet, and don’t we know from where she will source her jewellery. The raunchy MMS clip featuring Veena Malik that has gone viral is just a scene from the actress’s upcoming film Zindagi 50-50. Fielding questions about her raunchy MMS video that went viral, Pakistani model-turned-actress Veena Malik Wednesday clarified that the clipping in question was a scene from her forthcoming Bollywood film Zindagi 50-50. "It's a footage of one of the songs of the film that shows me and (actor) Rajan Verma... It is not an MMS clip, it's a clipping from the movie Zindagi 50-50," Malik told reporters during a media conference. "Zindagi 50-50" is slated for a May 24 release. The video that gathered millions of hits on social networking sites shows the actress in a compromising position with co-actor Verma. "Its a beautiful scene... Beautiful intimate song sung by Rekha Bharadwaj. We are not romancing... It's an intimate scene between the characters Madhuri (enacted by Malik) and Birju (played by Verma)," Veena Malik told reporters. Having done a spate of films in Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi, following her debut in the Pakistani film "Tere Pyar Mein" in 2000, Malik became a household name post her appearance inIndian television reality show "Bigg Boss Season 4" in October 2010. A day before the release of his film Ek Thi Daayan, Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi visited the Haji Ali dargah in Worli, Mumbai, to offer prayers.

The actor arrived at the dargah on Thursday afternoon along with a retinue of security personnel. He also carried on his head the basket with chadar and other offerings. Once inside the dargah, he offered the chadar and prayed.

Emraan Hashmi has in the last few years departed from his former serial-kisser, skirt-chaser image and been doing roles with much more substance. Ek Thi Daayan has Emraan playing a magician who is confounded by strange happenings around him.

The 34-year-old actor recently said that if the film does well, its sequel may also be planned.

"Once the film does well, then we will make the sequel…If it is a great story and it is taken forward in a nice way, then I would like to be a part of it," he said.

Sunny Leone at Ragini MMS 2

While the makers of Ragini MMS 2 have touted the film as a spook fest with sensuousness, drama, and, of course, Sunny Leone, the actress feels that the movie is a date flick.

While talking to a daily, Sunny Leone went candid about her next release, which was recently in the news for lesbian scenes featuring Sandhya Mridul and Sunny. “It's not about what people think it is. Ragini MMS 2 is a date movie. You can take your girlfriend to the movie and I guarantee you will enjoy it,” Sunny is quoted as saying.

The actress further adds that Ragini MMS 2, produced by Ekta Kapoor, is a kind of movie that has all the elements of a thrilling entertainer. Sunny Leone is sure that the audience will enjoy the experience of watching her horror film.
The sequel will take forward the story and will start from where the first part ended. The movie doesn’t have any lesbian scene, but it features a kiss between the two girls, and according to the makers, the script demanded it. Actress Sandhya Mridul was chosen to cast alongside Sunny Leone for the film after Richa Chadda walked out from the project as she wasn’t comfortable with the lesbian content.

As for now, Sunny Leone is soaking in the success of Laila -- her first item number in Bollywood. She’s even tweeting non-stop about the movie Shootout At Wadala that has started minting money at the box office.

Sunny has even signed a three-film deal with Parag Sanghvi, of Alumbra Entertainment. The first movie of the production house will be a thriller.

Surprise! After helping Zarines and Sonakshis to find a foothold in Bollywood, the benevolent Salman Khan has taken another starlet under his wing. She is no one else but Katrina Kaif’s younger sister Isabelle Kaif.

Isabelle Kaif has joined the cast of the cross-over Canadian film Dr. Cabbie, which is co-produced by Salman Khan Being Human (SKBH) Productions. As per reports, the film is made in association with two Canadian companies -- FirstTake Entertainment and Caramel Film, and will star Katrina Kaif’s sister as the female lead opposite actors like Kunal Nayyar of the hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory, Adrianne Palicki and Vinay Virmani.

A spokesperson from Eros, which is distributing Dr. Cabbie, says about Isabelle’s casting: “Isabelle went through the audition process like all the other actors. She was cast based on her performance and only because she was a perfect fit for the role.”

Dr. Cabbie, directed by Jean Francois Pouliot, tells the story of an unemployed Indian doctor (Vinay Virmani), who drives a cab in Canada and becomes a local hero when he converts his taxi into a mobile clinic.

The movie is Salman Khan’s first co-production since the children's film Chillar Party (2011).

Earlier it was said that Isabelle will make her debut opposite Anil Kapoor’s son Harshvardhan. There were even rumours about Katrina Kaif in talks with Ayan Mukerji to cast Isabelle in his film. Isabelle was even snapped hobnobbing with Ayan and other from the industry.

Sonam Kapoor launches L'Or Sunset Cannes collection

Actress Sonam Kapoor launched the L'Or Sunset Cannes collection by L’Oreal Paris at Hotel Taj Lands End in Mumbai, on Monday noon.

Sonam Kapoor said at the event: “For me, beauty is what is reflected from the inside; it is an expression which has to come from inside. I feel that emotions make a person beautiful. I am an average looking girl; but when I smile, I look prettier.”

She also talked about her relationship status and said: “I am single; there is no man in my life. I am happy and fortunate. As of now, my father is the most important man in my life.”
